Web2 Mar 2024 · A MAJOR Pembrokeshire-based sporting event will not take place this year because of coronavirus restrictions, it has been announced this morning, Tuesday March 2. The Long Course Weekend Wales, now the largest multisport event in Europe, has been postponed to 2024. WebTo kick-off the weekend on Friday evening, the Long Course athletes have The Wales Swim to complete – a 2.4 mile swim that takes place on Tenby’s North Beach. On Saturday their attention turns to The Wales Sportive, and 112 miles of undulating Welsh countryside lined with enthusiastic crowds.
