In a real car, you don't need to push a clutch all the way to the floor for it to engage / disengage.. When you go to calibrate the clutch, only press it slightly, maybe 1/4 throw.. Then when you clutch it, it disengages at that 1/4 throw point, versus 100%. Hope that makes sense and helps..
