In the Dragon Age Mods folder, add a subfolder: DAI Mods Download the DAI Mod Manager file and unzip it into the Dragon Age Mods folder. Install the Mod Manager (ignore the Tool Suite), choose 64-bit, and Download All. WebRetexturing DAO is a proper retexture mod, it's just unfinished and its quality and consistency varies greatly. It won't cover the entire game, and it won't everywhere conform to the same visual style either. Theta HD is the only one I'd recommend wholeheartedly. It stays true to the vanilla feel while getting rid of the uglies.
