But the meaning of it was akin to what we might call "normatively gendered." That means your gender identity is within a limited range of what society considers to be acceptably "normal." WebThe word transgenderism is apperntly the latest word to be banned from social discourse on trans issues because it implies an abnormal condition. However, banning words like transgenderism can be counterproductive because people already don't know how to talk about these things, even when they are seriously not trying to offend anyone.
