Ra MusicTM    

   Based on the Sacred Geometry memorialized by the Giza Pyramid and other ancient structures, is a patented natural frequency spectrum conversion process that is a cutting edge immersive audio technology developed to create a personal sound healing technology.   

    Most music is made with frequencies that bounce off the human frequencies. This music was designed to pass thru the listener, giving them an unprecedented spiritual and mental awakening.

      In Ra Math, what is known as Fibonacci numbers, ratios and logarithmic spirals are found in the shape of plants, animals and humans. This number 1.618… or RA 1.62 is found throughout nature and is also known as Phi.

    The most divine number in existence is known as Pi or 3.14 which is linked to higher levels of human perception.

    Wes Bateman and Alan Howarth incorporated these elements in the making of Ra MusicTM. By creating a keyboard that coincides with these special mathematic and spiritual codes, they were able to make music that harmonizes with these elements.

Ra MusicTM is the intellectual achievement of one man (Wes Bateman) and the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by the few people whom recognized its potential. This musical system, which you now have an opportunity of becoming involved with, could not have been made possible without 25 years of research in many areas of physics and physical reality.    

The therapeutic nature of music is not new. Have you ever wondered why the sound of ocean waves or birds singing has specific relaxing, almost hypnotic effects on those who hear them? Or how the old expression “music calms the savage beast” came into existence? Or why brain wave compatible sound is prescribed to treat stress therapy and epilepsy? What is new however that is now we have the ability and technological support to create this type of music with precision, accuracy, and ease? 

History and Development of Ra Music

In the late Fall of 1975, Wes Bateman while independently researching in the field of electroencephalograph (e.e.g.) biofeedback encountered a scientific paper written by Drs. C. Polk and F. Fitchen of the University of Rhode Island. The paper was titled: “The Schumann Resonances of the Earth-Ionosphere Cavity–Extremely Low Frequency Reception at Kingston Rhode Island”. The report can be found in the Journal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards – D Radio Propagation – Vol. 66D, No. 3, May-June, 1962. 

     This paper describes the instrumentation that was used at the time to receive and record the resonances and additionally describes the phenomena as extremely low frequency electromagnetic wave trains that are composed of individual wave cycles that are somewhat sinusoidal in shape. These wave trains are products of lightning strikes that occur naturally throughout the world and are contained within a natural resonance cavity (wave-guide) composed of the Earth’s surface and its ionosphere. The natural resonance cavity that contains the lightning generated wave trains is similar to the resonance chamber of a guitar or violin.

    The paper identified above, also described the instrumentation that was used at the time to receive and record extremely low frequency electromagnetic wave trains (ELF waves) that are a by-product of lightning strikes that are constantly occurring throughout the Earth. 

    Wes Bateman then applied the Law of Sympathetic Resonance, which is:

   “The enforcement of the natural vibration of a system, or object by a force acting with the same frequency as the system, every object, or system has a natural frequency or a frequency at which it will vibrate if displaced, or distorted, and then released”

       For instance, you will notice that when you hit a “C” note on a piano, the other “C” strings resonate with it as well. This principle applies to all vibrating bodes that send out energy waves, such as the human brain. This means that because there are similarities between ELF waves and human brain waves, that human brain waves can be stimulated by the continuous, naturally occurring ELF waves, via the Law of Sympathetic Resonance. Upon discovering this, Wes Bateman and his research team set about testing subjects by syncing up their brain waves with ELF waves – the results were astounding. What they found is that subjects whose brain waves that have been synched with ELF waves went into a deep meditative Alpha state. After they have experienced the calm and focus of an ELF wave induced Alpha state for an extended period of time, they experienced a “burst” of energy that came from what they described as an unknown source. These bursts showed up on the equipment used to measure brain wave activity. Not only that, a measurable physical change occurred in the subject’s electrical skin conductance.

     Imagine what these waves, when put in the form of music, can do for you.

     When a person is engaged in mediation, he/she generates more Alpha brain waves, than any other type of brain wave.

      ELF waves with the same frequencies as Alpha brain waves occur more often than any other type of ELF waves, it’s a natural assumption that naturally occurring ELF waves might be used to induce in an individual a state of tranquil mediation, that in turn would eliminate stress.

       In other words, to gain all the benefits of mediation while not actually mediating.     It is a music that created entirely in tune with RA mathematics. ELF waves and frequencies that correspond to higher levels of perception, RA MusicTM literally resonates with your body using frequencies that occur in nature.

    The ELF waves are contained within the natural resonance cavity (wave-guide) composed of the surface of the Earth and the “D” layer of the ionosphere. The resonance cavity of the Earth is similar to the resonance cavity of a guitar or violin. 

      His interest in lightning generated ELF waves was heightened when he realized that the waves had the same frequencies, frequency averages, and wave shape (envelopes) as do human brain waves. The frequency range of the ELF waves is 0.02 cycles per second (Hz.) or to 13.5 (Hz.) the most frequent occurring ELF wave frequency is 10.6 Hz. The frequency of 10.6 Hz. is very important. Its importance will be described when Ra Musical tones are addressed.

   Human beings are naturally in a state of subtle psychic disarray. Meaning our brain waves are out of sync with the natural frequencies found on earth and in the objects around us.

     Ra MusicTM was designed to harmonize our mental frequencies with that of the world around us.

    The human brain produces 4 distinct brain wave patterns which are named after letters from the Greek Alphabet. These brain wave patterns along with their frequencies are described below:

   Brain waves come in four distinct patterns and have been assigned names from the Greek Alphabet. They are Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta.

Delta: 0.02 Hz. up to and including 3 Hz., Delta brain waves are produced by a person who is either asleep or unconscious.   

Theta: 3 Hz. up to and including 7 Hz., Theta waves are also generated by a person who is either asleep or unconscious. Theta waves have been linked to the state of dreaming which is accompanied by “rapid eye movement” (REM sleep). Hyperactive children have been known to produce Theta waves while awake.

Beta: 13.5 Hz. to 27 Hz., A person produces Beta brain waves when awake and totally aware of the world around them. Brain waves about 27 Hz. are known to occur on occasion and are called "High Beta".  

Alpha: 7 Hz. up to and including 13.5 Hz., Alpha brain waves are generated when a person is relaxed or in a state of meditation. The most frequent generated Alpha brain wave  produced by a meditating person is 10.6 Hz., As previously mentioned, 10.6 Hz. is also the most frequently occurring lightning generated ELF wave. In addition, the last frequency of Alpha and the first ceiling frequency of the ELF wave are in both cases 13.5 Hz.

In October 1975, Wes Bateman discovered that 10.6 Hz = 0.785185…. Hz. and that 0.785185…. x4 = 3.14074….

Notice that the first 3 digits of the result above (3.14) are identical to the first 3 digits of the mathematical constant which is known as Pi (3.14592654....).

When the last frequency of Alpha or the first ceiling frequency of the ELF wave phenomenon (which in both cases 13.5 cycles per natural standard time (n.s.t.) is multiplied by 12 the result is 1.62, the result is very close in value to the number 1.61803389 (Phi)).

Phi and its associated Fibonacci ratios are found in the proportions and shapes of every living thing, including humans.

    The means that our brains function on the order of Pi and our bodies are proportional on the order of Phi. 

Natural Second of Time 

    When dealing with frequencies one is dealing with time (cycles per second). This fact led to the realization that nature uses a unit of time or natural second of time (n.s.t.) that is slightly longer in duration than the standard second of time we presently employ. Knowledge of the duration of the Natural Second of Time is essential in producing Ra Music. 

Pi and Phi and the Geometry of the Great Pyramid

    Because of the ELF wave Pi/Phi relationships and with the knowledge that both Pi and Phi are well known constants that relate to the geometry of the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt, Wes Bateman began studies of many ancient building sites worldwide. This work has spanned 25 years, from which he has rediscovered the mathematical system used by the original architects in defining the measurements of all aspects of the ancient structures. He has titled this system: The Ra System (© 1987) and the units of measure derived from it the “Rods of Amon Ra (© 1987)”, named for the ancient Egyptian Sun God “Amon Ra”.

    This study has revealed that the geometry of the Great Pyramid expresses the special lines that are known to be emitted from the hydrogen atom. These range from the deep infra red to the ultra violet. This information led to the research and development of the “Midas Project” (see Magnetism).

    In fact, the "Ra System of Mathematics" has proven to be the natural system of mathematics which nature uses to describe itself.

Frequency Spectrum Conversion to Natural Harmonic Frequencies by Means of Electronic Processing

Harmonic studies of frequency sets relating to nature, natural events (phenomena), elements, astronomy, mathematics, and animal and human form, has been useful in the identification of vibrations related to science, mechanics, medicine, psychology and human functions.

Two common aspects of frequency sets are music and musical scales.

The standard musical frequency for the third octave of “A” in musical instruments such as the piano is presently 440 Hz. (cycles per standard second). Equal temperament into a 1/12th interval is the way that all modern keyboard instruments are manufactured. This standard has been in use throughout the 20th century. However, this choice is not necessarily correct or harmonically tuned to nature.

Scientific author, Isaac Asimov, has stated that music is made of musical intervals (octaves, forths, fifths, etc.). The exact frequency and exact harmonic sets are not the basis of music; it is the alternation of intervals that is perceived as a melody and harmonic chord structure. The choice of A = 440 Hz. for the calibration of music is somewhat arbitrary.

Composers as performers of the past had no such standards. A Mozart or Bach would simply listen to a note and intuitively decide that it sounded “right”. With the choice made, they would have all the players of the ensemble adjust the individual instruments to their (Mozart/Bach) chosen tuning. This method was satisfactory for most early instrumental families. The introduction of the polyphonic keyboard instruments such as the harpsichord and later the piano presented a new problem with intuitive tuning. The numerous individual strings were too difficult to adjust quickly, and therefore the need for standard tuning arose. To facilitate the need for standards, we use the A = 440 Hz. today.

But what of tuning that seemed natural to these composers of centuries ago?

Many cultures do not use western methods of tuning.

    Was there something lost with the creation of modern standards? Remember, music is defined by intervals, not necessarily frequency. Is there a “right” or “correct” note? 

Amongst the mathematical properties contained in the Ra System are formats of frequency and resonance that relate to nature and natural events. These are mathematically perfect sets that are used by nature.

Presently we know of at least nine mathematical formats! Each format has its own version for all of the known mathematical constants such as pi, phi, Balmer constant for hydrogen, Rydberg constant for hydrogen and the speed of light (to name a few). There is reason to believe that there might actually exist, as many as 27 or 37 Ra formats (to be determined with further research).

The 9 known Ra Formats

While studying the geometry of the Great Pyramid of Egypt, Wes Bateman encountered several numbers that were close in value to the square root of 2.

    These numbers were: 1.41371666…. and 1.414710633 Note that 1.141371666… x1.1414710633 = 2

These numbers arbitrarily named respectively Red and Blue numbers.

    The actual value of the square root of 2 is 1.414243562. This value was then named a Green number. Red, Blue and Green being the basic constituents of the color White. 

After considerable research it was realized that the Ra System of Mathematics consists of at least 9 formats

    For sake of brevity, five values for the square root of 2 and five values for Pi are seen in the chart below: 

    These Ra formats apply not only to frequencies, but to electronic waves, broadcast frequencies, computer systems, wave structures, biorhythms, brain waves, bio-electrical functions, botany, Earth and Astronomical sciences. The Green format is the central format. 

    Note: Omega Minor pi x Omega Major pi = 9.87564321 (Green pi squared) or Red pi x Blue pi = 9.87564321 (Green pi squared). 

The 9 Known Ra Formats as they Apply to Ra Musical Tones

In the case of Ra Music there are 9 frequency values for the musical tone, 9 values for the “musical tone, etc. That is Red, Green, Blue, etc.

The frequency of Red x the frequency of Blue equals Green squared. This rule is true for any 2 reciprocal format values for or for any other Ra musical tones which are located in their respective formats.

When established frequencies for the even tempered clavichord, he intuitively separated the notes. Therefore:

Bach’s ratios are perfectly valid for the 9 Ra musical scales.

The Bach ratios are “C to D – 1.125, D to E – 1.111…., E to F – 1.0666…., F to G – 1.125, A to B – 1.125, B to C – 1.0666….)”.

1.125 is the square of the second octave of Green.

The Bach ratios 1.111… and 1.0666…. are Omega Major numbers! These numbers are multiples of the Ra value for the (0.001371742112) for the element of hydrogen. In addition, the ratio is actually the value of the Omega Major value for the 2nd octave of the musical tone.

For musical notes, the last factor in determining the conversion is to calculate frequency as defined in the Ra system. This is accomplished in the following manner: By taking a circle with a diameter with a value of 1, and then using the different format values for pi and calculating the circumference. The circumference of each circle is divided into degrees. There are 12 notes in a musical octave; therefore 1/12th of 360 degrees will give the value. The final value of a particular natural frequency is determined in this fashion:

For the purpose of further explanation in the Ra musical frequencies per natural second for time became apparent when it was realized that the builders of the Great Pyramid of Giza used measuring wheels to lay out the various dimensions of the structure. An illustration of such a measuring wheel is presented next. The length of the circumference of the wheel with 1 Red unit diameter is in this case 3.141592592…. Red units (Red pi).

When the spectral lines of the hydrogen atom are mathematically determined using the Ra value for the Balmer Constant for Hydrogen (364.5) or the Rydberg Constant for Hydrogen (1.09739690) the spectral lines of the element are given in Omega Minor units.

    Please refer to the Red Pi Measuring Wheel below for clarification. 

 If the wheel is rolled 72.9 degrees it would leave a track 0.6361725 Red units long. 63.61725 cycles per n.s.t. is the first octave of Red “C”. The number 729 (27x27) is the reciprocal of the Ra value for the Fine Structure Constant of hydrogen.

It has been discovered that spectral lines emitted by the hydrogenatom or by any other atom are synonymous with the degrees ofany of the 9 known Ra circles. The number of degrees that a particular wheel is rotated produce tracks (frequency values). 

    Note: The second octave of “D” is produced by rolling any of the 9 Ra wheels 656.1 degrees. There are 656.1 Ra millimicrons in the m3 spectral line of hydrogen (visible). The sixth octave of “D” is produced after the wheel is rolled 2624.6 degrees. There are 2624.4 Ra millimicrons in the Bracket m3 spectral line for hydrogen (deep infra Red).

The number of degrees in the 3rd octave of “E” is 364.5 (Balmer Constant).

      The number of degrees that produces the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd octaves of “F” are respectively:

 97.2 (Lyman m4 – ultra violet), 194.4 (Brackett m8 – deep infra Red) and 388.8 (Balmer m8 – visible)

The number of degrees that produces the 1st octave of “G” is 109.35 (Paschen m6 – near infra Red).

The number of degrees that produces the 4th octave of “A” is 486 (Balmer m4 – visible).

The number of degrees that produces the second octave of “A” is 121.5 (Lyman m2 – ultra violet).

    121.5 Ra millimicrons represent the most intense spectral line of hydrogen. Its related Red frequency of 1.0602875 x102 is equal to the average Alpha wave produced by a meditating human being and the most frequently occurring natural ELF wave generated by lightning. This is the Ra base line frequency from which all other harmonious Ra musical tones are derived.
